WakeAuditIQ privacy policy

Last updated: 29 September 2026

The short version

WakeAuditIQ works on your PC. It reads the power information Windows already keeps and explains it. It has no account and no analytics, telemetry, advertising or tracking, and it sends nothing to us.

What the app does with your data

It reads power-related entries in the Windows System event log (sleep, wake and power-session events only), the devices and scheduled tasks allowed to wake the PC, your power-plan settings, and battery status if the PC has a battery.

Only if you choose Run admin check, and after the Windows permission prompt, it also reads programs and drivers currently blocking sleep, active wake timers, the full list of wake tasks and the Windows SleepStudy report. This changes nothing on your PC.

It never reads your documents, browser data, email or other files.

On your PC it stores your settings and, if Keep a local history is on (the default), a copy of the power events it analyses for up to 400 days, plus a local error log. You can turn history off or clear it in Settings. Uninstalling the app removes this data.

Exported reports are saved to a folder you choose and contain power evidence only. User-name folders, security identifiers, email addresses and the unique part of device IDs are removed, and your computer name is never included. You decide whether to share a report.

Network connections

WakeAuditIQ contains no networking, telemetry, analytics or crash-reporting code, and it does not send anything anywhere. The Contact support button opens your own email app with an empty message to support@mirageinteractive.uk; the app adds nothing to it and does not send it.

Outside the app's control: WakeAuditIQ is distributed through the Microsoft Store and runs on Windows. When you get it from the Store, the Store and Windows make their own connections to Microsoft for purchases, licences, updates and Windows features, under Microsoft's privacy statement. Mirage Interactive does not receive that data, other than the aggregate sales and crash reports Microsoft provides to every Store publisher.

What we do not do

WakeAuditIQ has no account, no advertising, no analytics or tracking library, and no crash-reporting service. It does not send your files, folders or settings to Mirage Interactive, and we don't sell or share personal data.

If you email us

If you contact support, we receive what you send — your email address and message, and anything you attach. We use it to help you and keep it only as long as that's useful. See the website privacy policy for how email is handled.

Your rights (UK GDPR)

You can ask what personal data we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it: legal@mirageinteractive.uk. We respond within 30 days. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Changes

If WakeAuditIQ's data practices change, this page changes first, with a new "Last updated" date.
