MervanIQ privacy policy

The short version

MervanIQ checks folders on your PC, on your PC. It has no networking code, so it cannot send your files, file names or results to us or anyone else.

What the app does with your data

MervanIQ reads the names, paths and link information of the files and folders you choose to scan, and checks them against the rules for the target you pick. It doesn't change, rename, move or delete anything; any repair plan it shows is a proposal for you to apply yourself.

Results stay in the app until you close it. A report is written to disk, or put on the clipboard, only when you choose Save report or Copy report — and then it goes only where you put it. Reports contain file paths from your PC, so treat them accordingly before sharing one.

Network connections

MervanIQ itself makes no network connections. It contains no networking, telemetry, analytics or crash-reporting code.

Outside the app's control: MervanIQ is distributed through the Microsoft Store and runs on Windows. When you get it from the Store, the Store and Windows make their own connections to Microsoft for purchases, licences, updates and Windows features, under Microsoft's privacy statement. Mirage Interactive does not receive that data, other than the aggregate sales and crash reports Microsoft provides to every Store publisher.

What we do not do

MervanIQ has no account, no advertising, no analytics or tracking library, and no crash-reporting service. It does not send your files, folders or settings to Mirage Interactive, and we don't sell or share personal data.

If you email us

If you contact support, we receive what you send — your email address and message, and anything you attach. We use it to help you and keep it only as long as that's useful. See the website privacy policy for how email is handled.

Your rights (UK GDPR)

You can ask what personal data we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it: legal@mirageinteractive.uk. We respond within 30 days. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Changes

If MervanIQ's data practices change, this page changes first, with a new "Last updated" date.
