AmporIQ privacy policy

The short version

AmporIQ works with Windows' volume and microphone level settings. It never records, listens to or stores your microphone audio, and it sends nothing to us.

What the app does with your data

AmporIQ reads and sets the level of the audio devices you choose to protect, and reads the list of audio devices so it can follow your default device. Your settings — which devices, which modes, which targets — are stored on your PC.

It never opens a microphone recording stream. The optional "keep audio device active" setting plays silence to an output device; it doesn't touch the microphone.

Network connections

AmporIQ contains no networking, telemetry, analytics or crash-reporting code of its own. It asks the Microsoft Store whether this copy is licensed, using Windows' standard Store licensing interface; no audio or device information is part of that request, and the app keeps working if the check can't be made.

Outside the app's control: AmporIQ is distributed through the Microsoft Store and runs on Windows. When you get it from the Store, the Store and Windows make their own connections to Microsoft for purchases, licences, updates and Windows features, under Microsoft's privacy statement. Mirage Interactive does not receive that data, other than the aggregate sales and crash reports Microsoft provides to every Store publisher.

What we do not do

AmporIQ has no account, no advertising, no analytics or tracking library, and no crash-reporting service. It does not send your files, folders or settings to Mirage Interactive, and we don't sell or share personal data.

If you email us

If you contact support, we receive what you send — your email address and message, and anything you attach. We use it to help you and keep it only as long as that's useful. See the website privacy policy for how email is handled.

Your rights (UK GDPR)

You can ask what personal data we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it: legal@mirageinteractive.uk. We respond within 30 days. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Changes

If AmporIQ's data practices change, this page changes first, with a new "Last updated" date.
